Lawrie has been a licenced Radio Amateur (Ham) since 2007, he studied and passed the very first time at Poldhu Amateur Radio Club GB2GM.

My first 2m beam, made from a tape measure and a old piece of pipe, worked very well from Kit Hill into Wales and also the ISS - Space Station too. - It worked and wasnt even soldered.

This is Poldhu GB2GM where I learned all about Amateur Radio and I passed the very first time too.
